THE PROJECT
FROM VISIONARY ART
TO WEARABLE COLLECTIONS
The Amanda Sage Collection began as a collaboration to transform Amanda Sage’s
visionary paintings into fashion and lifestyle products while preserving the energy, symbolism,
and visual impact of the original artwork. Each collection was developed around a different painting, with the artwork digitally remixed into repeat patterns, engineered placements,
and compositions designed specifically for the body and product form.
Across multiple collections, I guided the creative and product development process
from textile design and sustainable material sourcing through sampling, local production,
visual storytelling, e-commerce, and experiential retail. Sustainability remained
a guiding principle throughout, with an emphasis on eco-conscious materials, local sourcing,
and exclusively Los Angeles-based production.
DESIGN PRINCIPLES
ART-TO-TEXTILE TRANSLATION
Original paintings were digitally remixed into fractal-inspired patterns, engineered placements, and new compositions while preserving the art’s visual language.
ENGINEERED PLACEMENT
Prints were intentionally scaled and positioned to follow the silhouette, contour the body, and create visual movement across each garment.
MOVEMENT + PERFORMANCE
Stretch fabrics, flexible construction, and body-conscious silhouettes were developed for yoga, dance, festivals, and everyday wear.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Material sourcing prioritized eco-conscious fabrics and lower-impact printing methods throughout development.
